Dear KidsOutAndAbout readers:
Here at KidsOutAndAbout.com, we love promoting summer camps as a way for kids to learn, expand their friendship circles, and have fun without the pressure of grades or consequences. Local summer camps have pulled out all the stops to ensure your kids have a great time.
After getting inspired by the camp descriptions below with programs for preschoolers through teens, head over to
our Week by Week Guide to Summer Camps and what's been posted so far for 2026. Bookmark that main portal page to get where you need to go quickly to search by date or subject. New camps are being added constantly, so check back frequently. I hope you enjoy our special-edition camp newsletter, and
that you forward it to your friends who may also be shopping for summer camps. We'll be back with your regularly-scheduled weekly newsletter on Thursday! —Debra Ross, publisher

Our summer camps (ages 7–12) take young chefs on a global kitchen adventure while they spend the day chopping, mixing, and tasting their way through exciting recipes from around the world. With alternating weekly programs, every day brings something new to
learn and discover. Aprons, tools, and ingredients are all provided. Meals and snacks are also enjoyed throughout the day, with leftovers to take home. We offer half and full day options throughout the summer, but spots are limited, so grab one before they're gone.

Discover local Theatre Camps! GBTC offers weekly programs during July and August, featuring plays, mime, improvisation, theatre games, musical theatre, and work with simple sets and costumes! Each weekly program culminates in a public performance
at week's end. Outdoor activities, games, and sports are also part of the fun.
Campers hone their skills and build confidence through engaging, creative games that tap into their vocal, physical, and emotional potential.
GBTC's dedicated and compassionate staff foster a nurturing environment where campers feel at ease. They are encouraged to forge new friendships and enhance skills and confidence that will benefit them in all aspects of life. With our low Camper to Staff ratios, every child gets the chance to shine with their age group and the broader camp community.

From jewelry empires to board game legends, Ignite Academy offers the ultimate summer experience for young entrepreneurs. Forget basic crafts! Our "Boss Mode" camps teach students to think like founders. Led by an MBA professor, we bridge the gap between
imagination and business logic. Campers prototype original products, perform market research, and master profit-mapping, transforming math into an exciting game of strategy. It’s an immersive environment where kids develop leadership confidence and sharp analytical thinking while letting their creativity run wild. Give your child the "entrepreneurial spark" and watch them build a brand from scratch. This is where the world’s future leaders spend their summer!

Ontario Tech University’s 2026 Summer Camps program provides fun, hands-on opportunities for your child to learn and explore their curiosity in a positive and safe educational environment.
Our mission is to inspire kids to see STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) everywhere in the world around them. Hands-on activities and curriculum-based learning in robotics, coding, gaming, and much more, provide an experience that is both educational and fun. We succeed when our campers leave camp thinking that STEM is exciting and within their reach – that it could be part of their future.
