Memphis Zoo is debuting it's first-ever Lantern Festival Presented by Truist. The holidays are about to shine brighter than ever at Memphis Zoo. In partnership with Tianyu Arts & Culture, and presented by Truist, Memphis Zoo is proud to announce the inaugural Memphis Zoo Lantern Festival, a one-of-a-kind holiday light experience featuring more than 60 larger-than-life illuminated fixtures. The Memphis Zoo Lantern Festival will transform the Zoo into a dazzling wonderland of color and light. Guests can stroll through glowing pathways, marvel at vibrant animal-shaped lanterns, and capture unforgettable memories beneath radiant displays designed by the world-renowned Tianyu team. Caring Santa is a special, sensory-friendly experience - exclusively for children with special needs and their families. Sunday, December 7 from 9am - 10:30am Santa will be located in Center Court. During the Christmas season, Cedar Hill Farm will be open for families to choose and cut their Christmas tree right from the farm. Take a hayride out to the back forty and pick out the perfect tree. We are planting more trees each year so we will have trees ready to harvest year after year. Keep that fake tree in the box this year and start a family tradition that will make memories to last a lifetime.

Santa Claus is coming to Saddle Creek for FREE photos! You’ll receive both a digital AND a printed photo as a memento of your visit. You’ll find Santa at Saddle Creek South, right on the corner between Sephora and UNTUCKit. Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome anytime.

Clara & the Nutcracker presented by the Tennessee Ballet Theater is Saturday December 6th at 5:30pm and Sunday December 7th at 2pm at the U of M Rose Theater. This is a charming rendition of the classic holiday tale about young Clara and her adventures. Audiences delight with the exquisitely classically trained youth of the troupe who fill many of the principal roles including Clara, alongside professionals of the Tennessee Ballet Theater. This Memphis treasure transports the audience to Clara's world in the late 1700s and includes a magnificent Toy Shop, a Christmas party, a battle with the Prince and Mouse King, a land of snow and the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Kingdom of Sweets.
