|
Dear KidsOutAndAbout readers:
Here at KidsOutAndAbout.com, we love promoting summer camps as a way for kids to learn, expand their friendship circles, and have fun without the pressure of grades or consequences. Local summer camps have pulled out all the stops to ensure your kids have a great time.
After getting inspired by the camp descriptions below with programs for preschoolers through teens, head over to
our Week by Week Guide to Summer Camps and what's been posted so far for 2026. Bookmark that main portal page to get where you need to go quickly to search by date or subject. New camps are being added constantly, so check back frequently. I hope you enjoy our special-edition camp newsletter,
and that you forward it to your friends who may also be shopping for summer camps. We'll be back with your regularly-scheduled weekly newsletter on Thursday!

Rolling grasslands, grazing livestock, stone walls, vegetable crops, and historic farm buildings comprise this 1,000-acre pastoral landscape, offering a rare glimpse into New England’s agricultural past. A gift of Colonel Francis R. Appleton, Jr., and his
wife Joan, Appleton Farms is one of the oldest continuously operating farms in the country, established in 1638 and maintained by nine generations of the Appleton family. Prior to the settlement of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, this area was known as Agawam by its native inhabitants and was the ancestral land of the Pawtucket People. With rolling grasslands, grazing livestock, vegetable gardens, an active barnyard, and miles of trails, Appleton Farms in Ipswich offers a uniquely immersive summer
experience. Campers are introduced to Appleton’s working farm and adventurous landscape through exciting, authentic educational activities. Our program for ages 4–14 is inspired by this exceptional property and builds on The Trustees’ expertise…

Sleepaway program for Making & Collaboration in Strafford, NH. Beam Camp was founded in 2004 by Brian Cohen and Danny Kahn to provide children with exciting experiences in creative problem-solving through working with their hands and actively
collaborating with others. What makes Beam Camp different from other sleepaway experiences is our focus on building and project making! We have a fully equipped woodshop, metal shop, fabrication lab with laser cutter and 3d printer, and an art barn for ceramics, sewing, painting, papier mache, printmaking, and any other skill you might want to investigate. Campers spend a good portion of their day in those shops, learning the skills and making their own self-designed projects. Contact our camp
director, Pearl Cohen, to learn more!
